Back in our younger days, most hype-infused streetwear brands had originated from USA, Japan or Korea. This was a culture that we had enjoyed together with our fellow homies, as we shared our views and opinions. From arguing about the varying styles out there, to the sense of satisfaction & gratification when we introduced our favorite fad brands to our community fellows. Nonetheless, hunting for such products and deals in Singapore were our daily struggles, as there was a huge void of these items out there in our local shopping spaces.

 

There wasn’t really a proper store or medium around that “speaks” to the demographic; everything before this was via online platforms and ‘fly-by-night’ stores. Eventually Jerry Ang – the founder of Well Bred Store, decided to kickstart his lifelong dream project to bridge this gap in the streetwear scene. 

 

In 2018, the first Well Bred Store opened, with the simple idea of providing convenience and a vibrant 360 shopping experience for everyone to get all the hot drips they want within one place. A few years have passed since, and our dreams have grown even bigger – Well Bred Store now aims to be more than just a streetwear store. 

 

Well Bred Store aims to give increased meaning and relation to the culture. We are surely and steadily progressing into becoming more involved within our community, from stocking interesting cult brands to introducing rising brands started by upcoming artists. We are also constantly looking to create synergy in the scene, via varied collaboration projects with interesting labels & artists or with cult non-industry brand names.

 

We are a team of young & experimental individuals striving to make a stronger effect in the scene. Being able to support more start-up local businesses/artists is indeed something that motivates us in moving forward. Whether it is our physical shops or online store, we hope to play the game right. Well Bred hopes to be that right store that keeps every demographic happy. We may work WITHIN this culture, but end of the day, we also want to work FOR this culture.
